Music Garden stores the following information exclusively on your device:
Music piece data:
- Names of music pieces
- Composer names (optional)
- Your notes on pieces
- Practice history (date, duration)
- Learning progress
User settings:
- Selected interface language
- Notification settings (enabled/disabled, reminder time)
- Sound and vibration settings
- Onboarding completion status
Progress data:
- Current practice streak
- Best practice streak
- Last practice date
This data is not transmitted to our servers and is stored exclusively locally on your device.
2.2. Subscription and Purchase Data
For processing subscriptions and in-app purchases, we use third-party services:
RevenueCat:
- Your subscription status
- Purchase history
- Customer ID (anonymous)
- Information about products you purchased
Apple App Store:
- All payments are processed directly by Apple
- We do not have access to your payment details (card number, CVV, etc.)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide App functionality — save your progress and settings
- Send notifications — practice reminders (only if you granted permission)
- Manage subscriptions — verify your subscription status to provide access to premium features

We process your data based on the following legal grounds:

6. Data Storage and Security
6.1. Local Storage
All your personal data (music pieces, settings, progress) is stored exclusively on your device using Apple’s SwiftData technology. We do not have access to this data.
6.2. No Cloud Synchronization
The App does not synchronize your data with cloud services. If you delete the App, all local data will be lost.
6.3. Security
Your data is protected by standard iOS security mechanisms, including device-level encryption.
6.4. Data Retention Period
- Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the App or specific items
- Subscription data: Retained by RevenueCat for the duration of your subscription plus any legally required period
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your data:
7.1. Right to Access
You can view all your data directly in the App.
7.2. Right to Rectification
You can edit information about music pieces and settings at any time.
7.3. Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”)
- You can delete individual music pieces in the App
- You can delete all data by removing the App from your device
7.4. Right to Data Portability
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you can access it through iOS backup mechanisms (iCloud or iTunes/Finder backup).
7.5. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:

8. Push Notifications
The App may send local notifications to remind you about practice:
- Notifications are sent only with your permission
- You can disable notifications in the App or iOS settings
- Notification times are configurable in the App
- Notifications are generated locally on your device, not from an external server
9. Children’s Privacy
Music Garden is designed for children. The App does not collect any analytics data and does not use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs. All data is stored exclusively on your device.
The App includes parental verification before in-app purchases to prevent unauthorized purchases by children.

10. Advertising
The App does not contain advertising and does not use advertising networks.
11. International Data Transfer
Subscription data processed by RevenueCat may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the USA. RevenueCat complies with applicable data protection standards, including:

- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Updating the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this document
